Today at the theater scene shop my hair caught on fire from one stray spark from somebody who was welding about 10ft away. Ok, so it only burned a little bit of hair and some of my scalp... I just clenched my teeth and kept working. |

I was out wrecking shit with stock caps and Sharpies. I was going to hit up the back of a Stop and Shop and I realized I had to pee. This was in the winter, so my mom had made me put on snow boots and snow pants and mittens and everything. Anyway, I went to unzip my snow pants and fell in the snow. My mitten got stuck in the zipper and got covered in snow, which caused them to freeze together. I had to piss all over myself in order to melt the ice. I started crying and went home. To top it all off, there was no more Hershey's Cocoa left and my mom said that if I couldn't come home without being a mess she wouldn't drive me to the legal wall anymore. |

My name is Yatika Cotterill. This is a story about my life. I grew up in my home town Ro-et in Issan, North East of Thailand. I grew up with my family in a farm, in a small village in the countryside. Sometimes we were happy and had fun. I was young and there were 9 people in my family: mother, father, 3 older sisters, one older brother, one younger brother, one younger sister and me. My family farm was very big and there we grew rice, which we harvested every year. This became very difficult because it was very hot and all the family came together to help as we didn’t have many machines like they do in England. My father also kept some cows in the land. He also had two big dogs which surprisingly helped in taking care of the cows, the same as sheep dogs do in England. My father always liked to take care of many animals in the farm; chickens, ducks, fish and had a crazy bird that made too much noise early in the morning. I tried to get rid of the bird, so every morning I opened the cage door to get the bi... | | Read Entire Entry |

It has now been about five months since I got my motorcycle. I’ve had lots of fun with it. I have also been through a lot of bad luck which has upset me very much. Now, I am back at the temple with the bike. I am outside waiting for the monk to come back from his alms round. I will ask him to bless my bike to get the good luck back.
Since February, the first day I got my bike, until now there have been quite a lot of accidents and problems happen to my bike and me. Especially the latest accident that just happened. It was a very big one. That reminded me about what my mum said when I first bought the bike. She told me to take the bike to the temple to have it blessed but I didn’t listen.
Even after the first time one of my friends crashed my bike, I still didn’t listen to what she said. Now, I am very sorry that I didn’t listen to her. If I had taken my bike to let the monk bless it earlier, my friend might not have ended up in hospital and I might not have had lots of bad luck.

Well, I had coasted through the whole day thumbing my nose at the “Bad Luck Friday” murmurs I heard today. So it was bound to happen – bad luck thought me too arrogant. The curse of Friday the 13th saw me as too full of myself. It was time to put me in my place on this day to teach me bad luck does exist and will make itself known to me so I will never again doubt.
So what was this bad luck I speak of? I lost nearly a week’s worth of programming due to my backup system overwriting instead of backing up my project. .
So there you have it folks. Incontrovertible truth written in black and white – with a smilie thrown in for good measure. Bad luck is true and it occurs every Friday the 13th. There’s no sense in trying to fight it, no sense in trying to deny or write it off as coincidence. |
